Cenno ("we", "us", or "our") is an AI product discovery service for Shopify stores. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Cenno on your Shopify store.

What Information We Collect

Cenno operates within your Shopify store and collects the following information to provide and improve the service:

• Product Catalogue Data: We read your product titles, descriptions, variants, prices, and collections to answer customer questions accurately.
• Customer Questions: We record questions asked by your shoppers using Cenno on your product pages. These include the question text, product ID, and timestamp.
• Order Attribution: To show you the sales Cenno helps drive, we record the total value of orders placed shortly after a customer interacted with Cenno. We do not collect customer names, emails, payment details, or shipping addresses.
• Store Configuration: We store your store's domain and your chosen Cenno settings (tone, style, enabled status).

What We Do Not Collect

• Customer names, email addresses, or contact information
• Payment details or credit card information
• Shipping addresses or personal identifiable information
• Browsing history or behavior outside of Cenno
• Session recordings or detailed user analytics

How We Use Information

• Service Delivery: We use product data to generate accurate, contextual answers to customer questions.
• Attribution & Analytics: We use order data to calculate which orders are attributable to Cenno interactions, so you can see the return on investment from the service.
• Service Improvement: We may analyze question patterns and Cenno performance to improve answer quality and product features.
• Billing & Support: We use your store domain to manage your subscription plan and provide customer support.

Data Retention

• Customer questions are retained for 12 months to support analytics and model improvement.
• Order attribution data is retained indefinitely to maintain historical sales records.
• Store configuration is retained for the duration of your subscription.
• You may request deletion of your data by contacting [email protected].

Data Security

We use industry-standard encryption and security practices to protect your data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only. Data is stored in Supabase-managed PostgreSQL databases with standard enterprise security controls.

Third-Party Services

Cenno integrates with Shopify to access your store data. We also use Cloudflare for infrastructure and Supabase for data storage. These services have their own privacy policies, which we recommend you review.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the updated policy on this page with a new "Effective" date.

Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By installing and using Cenno on your Shopify store, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service.

2. Service Description

Cenno is an AI-powered product discovery service that provides automated responses to customer questions about products in your Shopify store. The Service is provided as-is to help you improve customer confidence and drive sales.

3. Subscription Plans

Cenno offers multiple subscription plans with varying monthly answer limits:

• Starter: $5/month for 100 answers
• Growth: $19/month for 1,000 answers
• Pro: $49/month for 5,000 answers

All plans include a 30-day free trial. After the trial, your card will be charged according to your selected plan. You can cancel at any time, and charges will cease at the end of your billing cycle.

4. Billing and Payment

You agree to provide accurate billing information and authorize us to charge your payment method on a monthly basis. Failed payments may result in service suspension. We use Shopify's payment infrastructure for all billing.

5. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of product information in your Shopify store, as this directly affects Cenno's responses.
• You agree not to use Cenno for illegal purposes or to violate any applicable laws.
• You agree not to attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or abuse the Service.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Shopify store credentials.

6. Intellectual Property

Cenno and all associated intellectual property (code, algorithms, branding) are owned by Cenno (ATHT PTY LTD). Your use of Cenno is a limited, non-exclusive license to operate the Service on your store. You retain ownership of your product data and customer questions.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CENNO IS PROVIDED "AS-IS" WITHOUT ANY WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Cenno from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any third-party rights.

9. Termination

We may terminate your access to Cenno at any time if you violate these Terms or engage in prohibited activities. Upon termination, all data associated with your store will be deleted within 30 days, unless you request otherwise.

10. Service Availability

While we strive for high availability, Cenno is provided on an "as-available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service and are not liable for downtime, data loss, or service degradation.

11. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

12. Modifications to Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue Cenno or any features at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any such modifications or discontinuation.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Queensland, Australia, and you agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Queensland for any disputes.
